She's reported on sports at several of the biggest media outlets across the world. She was a reporter for The Washington Post nearly a decade covering Grand Slam Tennis and Grand Slam Football, as playing basketball in multiple Olympics. Nichols was hired by ESPN in 2004 and worked for nine years there, earning two Emmy Awards. She also was a guest on some of the most popular programs on ESPN such as SportsCenter or NFL Countdown. Nichols also reported to TNT in NBA broadcasts during playoffs, as well as the broadcasts for the All-Star game. Nichols also worked for TBS broadcasting golf and baseball broadcasts and Final Four broadcasts on CBS. It was only the 2nd occasion in the 42-year history of TBS that women were chosen from over 200 nominations.
