Dua Lipa is a British artist/singer born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. Dua Lipa signed with Warner Bros Records in 2014 after she was a model and dropped her debut album, self-titled in the year 2017. It reached the top 3 spot at the U.K. Charts, and also released eight singles. These included Be The One I.D.G.A.F The U.K. number one Single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 track New Rules. Lipa has been awarded Brit Awards in 2018 for two categories: British Female Artist and British Breakthrough Act, and British. Dua Lipa has Bosnian descent through her maternal grandmother. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. She has a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. Lipa was musically influenced by her father, who also serves as the lead guitar player and the singer of The Kosovan group Oda. While at the house, her father would perform his original compositions, along with songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa started singing when she was five.
